 kai.irc

kai.irc is an excellent ircII client script with many new tools and functions. the picture on the right illustrates the main three features:

(1) an extra fine dc power plungin
(2) a dual state power on/off switch
(3) two seperate useable 9 pin joystick ports.

with all these features - and there are many more - kai.irc becomes one of the most powerful ircII scripts you can find on this web site.

 New or changed Commands

note <noteserv command>

shortcut to use noteserv. a replacement for the old note function until ircd 2.9. see http://irc.fu-berlin.de/noteserv/ for more information.

ignore <nick|userhost> <type>

ignores are permanent and were saved in an extra file. i didn't tested this very much: be careful.

me <action>

this /me doesn't use the CTCP ACTION protocol extension. it's using the old fashioned way by prefixing an "<--" to the message.

reply <nick> <ctcp> <message>

sends an CTCP reply to the given nick.

kickban <nickname>

kicks and banns the specified person.

kick <nickname>

kicks the specified person.

nickalias <alias> <nickname>

sets an alias for specified nickname. (nickaliased nicks will not displayed on srceen. only the alias will shown.) this funktion is very helpful if you don't want allow others (who can look randomly at your monitor) see to which persons you a talking.

nickunalias <alias>

deletes an nick alias.

whonames <pattern>

does something like /list with /who but without the danger of /list.

There exists many ways in using kai.irc. You can use your audio in interface (4) to try to speak to your computer. With the simstim interface (5), which you can connect directly to your brain nerves, kai.irc becomes something like your third eye.
The other options (6), (7), (8) and (9) are only availabe in the gold edtion of this script and were not discussed here.

To do this issue a /load kai.irc command.
